To make a spider web can have a variety of motivations, whether it is after a forest and meadow walk and you are fascinated by the art of the little crawlers or as a decoration for the next horror party (Halloween) or for a theme night. Here are some of the many ways to make a spider web.

You can make a spider web from almost any craft stuff. This is because a spider web consists of only 4 intersecting strokes as a skeleton and then a long connecting stroke. Maybe something else is attached to the whole thing and already the spider web is finished.

For most spider webs that you can do yourself, you need a template.

Cut out spider web

You need:

• Craft paper or napkin / handkerchief or the superlative a garbage bag
• Scissors / cutter knife / craft knife
• pen

Step 1
Take a square. Lay the two opposing tips on top and bottom to form a triangle.

step 2
Halve the triangle by folding the right lower tip to the upper left.

step 3
The left tips are now folded on the right (ie halved again)

Step 4
The top left tip is folded diagonally down to the right, halving the left part of the triangle.

Step 5
Now draw a spider web.

Tip: In the case of the version with a garbage bag, use clothes pegs or easily removable adhesive tape, so that everything does not slip immediately.

Step 6
Cut out the marked areas, make sure that the layers do not slip, if the cuts are a bit crooked, that's not so bad.

NOTE: Be sure to never cut into the closed side !!!

Step 7
Carefully unfold everything again and then decorate.

Tip: Use removable double-sided adhesive tape (available for posters) to remove the spider webs later.

Cutting a web of meaning out of a T-shirt. Either fold the T-shirt as in the paper instructions or draw a small template from the inside and cut out the corresponding parts. If you wear such a T-shirt outside of the summer, it is advisable to pull something under it, it makes a visually something and you will not be so quick to subcool.

It is required:

• Document film / transparent cover
• Window Color Pen
• Toothpick or needle
• possibly template

Either take our template for spider webs, use the instructions to design your own web or draw a spider web or a spider web on the slide. Either you just paint the struts or fill in the vacancies in between, so the net is definitely more stable.

Tip: So that the areas between the net stays allow more light to pass, apply the paint only very thinly.

It should also be possible with hot glue, instead of Windowcolor a spider web to tinker. But you have to work fast and should wear safety gloves for safety's sake.

pipe cleaners

Required material:

• 4 white or black pipe cleaner (craft goods)
• Wool or string
• scissors

Cross two pipe cleaners and turn one around the other, creating a cross. Now two more pipe cleaners are being twisted around the center. This completes the framework for this spider web. It should look like an 8-pointed star.

Now the wool is taken and wrapped around the individual struts in a circle. It also works with other pipe cleaners. Done is the fun.

Bügelperlen

You need:

• Bügelperlen
• pegboard
• baking paper
• Iron

Depending on the type of plug-in board currently available, create a spider web from 3 or 4 struts. Then the rest of the net is inserted in a circle. To give the spider web more stability, we recommend filling the empty spaces with another color. Thus, the spiderweb is made of stirrup beads more stable and can also be used as a coaster.

Paper plate

You need:

• Disposable paper plates
• Wool or string (white)
• scissors
• Punch or punch

Step 1:
Cut out the surface of the plate so that you only have the edge left.

Step 2:
Take the punch or better still a punch and make holes in the edge as follows.

option A
Punch at least 8 or more holes (mostly an even number), evenly spaced, in the edge. This will give you a regular "standard" cobweb. Thread the thread from behind through one of the holes and lead it to the directly opposite hole. Pass the thread back to the next hole and repeat these steps until you are back to the beginning. Here knot the two ends.

Variant B
Put the holes without a real system, irregular and arbitrary. Now run the thread from the back through the first hole and lead it to any free hole. From here, lead the thread directly to another hole or lead it along the back to the next hole. The whole thing should be more of a mess. Finally, they should somehow knot the beginning and end of the string so that the rope is no longer loose.

Step 3:
Take the wool or twine and connect the taut strings together.

If you have taken Variant A, always in a circle from one string to the next. Just make a round here around the taut string or knot it right away. Either as a big spiral or circle for circle.

If you have decided on variant B, just continue like this. Join the strained ropes together, but best of all, it still looks like a spider web and does not become a huge web.

ALTERNATIVE
Instead of a paper plate, you can also take a picture frame and put a spider web in it. This creates a noble-looking decoration for Halloween or a scary party.

Nail board - wooden board

You need:

• Square wooden board
• compasses
• pencil
• ruler
• hammer
• nails
• String, wool or yarn

Use our guide or record yourself the spider web.
If you do not have a square board, mark a square on your board, otherwise the result will be distorted.

Step 1:
Use the pencil and ruler to draw a line from one corner to the other at an angle. Repeat with the other corners and then draw a straight line from left to right and from top to bottom through the center.

Tip: Draw thin, so you can later remove the strokes with an eraser.

Step 2:
Now take the compass, stick it in the middle of the board and draw circles. Depending on how big your board is, make as many circles as you like, but at least two should be it, otherwise the result looks more like a steering wheel or a cartwheel.

Step 3:
Hit with the hammer in all points where two lines intersect and all corner points a nail.

Step 4:
Start pulling a string along the straight stretches. This is done by making a knot in the string around the starting nail and pulling to the next nail on the line. On each nail, the cord is either wrapped around or knotted once and then from there, then always following the line to the next nail.

Tip: It does not matter if the tracks are all made right at the beginning or you are moving from one node to the next. It should always be followed only the lines.

EXTRA - Spider Web Spinning

For a children's birthday party, Carnival / Carnival / Carnival or a Halloween party, you can also make a game from the spider web nail board.

Prepare one or two pre-nailed boards for this purpose. Tie the thread to a nail. Now it's time to spin the bet. Who manages to connect faster all the nodes and has first finished a spider web.

Tip: Only use nails with a small and rounded head, so that there is no risk of injury.

If you can make the spider web last longer you can just use some glue. For this purpose, simply brush the finished net with wood glue or use spray adhesive. If the tinkered spider web is then hard, you could actually remove the supporting scaffolding and have a spider web to put down or hang up ... but you do not have to do it.
