Easter is a beautiful festival in the blossoming spring and especially fun for children. Hardly any time is better suited to harmonious handicraft afternoons with the whole family. In this DIY guidebook, we deliver six creative ideas for sweet, funny and atmospheric Easter gifts that you can make together with small to bigger kids!

Juggling Easter Bunny made of Tonkarton

You need this:

• Colorful cardboard and pattern box
• floral wire

How to proceed:

Step 1: Print our craft template on paper and cut out the individual elements with scissors.

2nd step: Transfer the outlines of the rabbit to a thick cardboard box. We decided on a white rabbit.

Step 3: Transfer the outlines of the ice again in pencil 10 times on colored cardboard. Use different cardboard colors or different pattern paper.

Step 4: Pick up a pair of hole pliers and make four holes, one in each leg and two in the rabbit's body. Then attach the two legs to the rabbit body with two sample clips. The legs can now be moved back and forth.

Step 5: Cut out all eggs with scissors.

Step 6: Grab the craft wire and cut a long enough piece.

Step 7: Bend the wire into a circle.

Step 8: Glue the wire circle to the back of the rabbit's hands.

Step 9: Stick seven of the colorful eggs evenly spaced on the wire - but from the front, so that the splices remain invisible.

Step 10: Paint the Easter bunny a cute face with nose, teeth and mouth and stick cute Wackelaugen.

13th step: Now the hare still lacks a suspension. You will need the punch again. Punch a hole between both ears. Then pull a long piece of twine through this hole and knot it. Then attach the thread to the back of the overlying ice cream with some glue. So the bunny stays pretty stable in the balance.

12th step: Finally, the three remaining eggs are glued to the front of the hare, as if he really juggle.

Easter bunny out of a washing glove

You need this:

• Waschhandschuh
• Rubber cord or cord
• fiberfill
• Wiggle eyes, little pompom

How to proceed:

Step 1: Take the rubber cord or string and cut off three 10 cm long pieces. Place the washing glove with the opening facing downwards.

Step 2: Grab one of the cut-to-size cord or string pieces and tie the top left corner of the wash mitt to make a rabbit's ear. Do not forget the double knot.

Tip: The color of the wash mitt is up to you. Decide for yourself whether you want to create a classic rabbit in brown or white or an imaginatively colorful animal.

Step 3: Repeat step 2 with the upper right corner of the wash mitt.

Step 4: Now put some filling cotton into the washing glove so that a round rabbit's head forms.

Step 5: Take the third 10 cm long cord or cord piece to hand and then bind your workpiece under the head.

Step 6: Attach the Wackelaugen and the little Puschel then simply with craft glue. The little pompom turns into a nose and the big one into a tail. Finished!

Tip: The wash mitt remains open at the bottom so that the rabbit can be used as a hand puppet. Alternatively, you have of course the opportunity to hide a small extra gift in it and easily close the glove with another cord or string piece.

Fluffy pompon Easter bunny

You need this:

• Wool (brown, white)
• Bommel Template
• felt
• yarn
• 1 pearl or 1 button
• needle
• scissors
• Glue
• felt-tip pen

How to proceed:

Step 1: Make two pompoms. One serves as a head, the other as a body. Be sure to make your head a little smaller than your body. Detailed instructions for making pompoms can be found here: Make pompoms yourself

Tip: For materials and tools for the pompons you need cardboard, wool in your favorite color, yarn, compass and scissors.

Step 2: Knot the protruding pieces of yarn from the two pompoms together.

3rd step: Cut off the remaining yarn with scissors.

Step 4: Then paint two ears on the brown felt. For the interior, use pink felt.

Step 5: Cut out the marked pieces of felt with scissors.

Step 6: Glue the inner ear areas to the actual ears. For this you can use conventional craft glue.

Step 7: Pick up the needle and the yarn and sew on the felt ears.

Step 8: Now attach the bead or button as well. That will be the nose. A blotch of glue is already enough.

Step 9: Make a little bunny from a piece of cotton and attach it with some glue. You can also make a very small white bobble and attach it.

Easter grass chicks

You need this:

• Easter grass
• Wackelaugen
• colorful clay box
• colored feathers
• line
• scissors
• hot glue

How to proceed:

Step 1: Cut off a piece of the cord about 10 cm long with scissors.

Step 2: Pick up some Easter grass and shape it into an element that looks like the one on our picture.

Step 3: Carefully determine the center of the Easter grass element and tie it up with the piece of string prepared in step 1. For safety's sake, make a double knot.

Step 4: Then cut the two feet out of a matching piece of cardboard. It is important to make sure that they have three claws.

Tip: Make sure your feet get a little bit bigger than normal. The chick must finally be able to stand on this.

Step 5: Then glue the waddle feet to the bottom of the bale.

Step 6: Make a beak out of orange paper. For this you cut a small rectangle, which you fold once in the middle. Cut a triangle of these two layers of paper, as shown in the picture.

Step 7: Attach the beak to the chick. For this, it is simply pushed through the cord.

Step 8: Then fix the loose eyes and decorate the chick with colored feathers. These are simply put in the right place in the Easter grass.

Tip: It looks especially funny if you insert feathers as wings for the chick.
