Work a row to the left before starting the pattern. Knit the stitches in each pattern row before the first asterisk once. Then repeat the steps between the two icons until you have used up almost all the stitches. The last stitches knit as described behind the second asterisk. Repeat the pattern rows continuously until the knitted piece is big enough for your project.
Make sure you have the same number of stitches on the needle after each row as you did on the stop. If the mesh size deviates, you've made a mistake that you need to find and fix because otherwise you will not be able to continue the pattern evenly.

Lay the thread once over the right needle from the front to the back. In the next row, treat the envelope like a normal stitch. So you have gained a knack. If you want to work two envelopes in a row, after the first one, thread the thread under the needle and then back over the needle.
Lift off the stitches

Material and preparation
A headband in the net pattern results in a breezy accessory for the warm season. Therefore it is recommended to adjust the yarn selection accordingly . Cotton or blended yarn with a cotton is ideal for summer knitwear projects. However, pure cotton is not elastic, so the headband must be perfectly adjusted. Mesh patterns work especially well with thinner yarn. Strength three to four is optimal for this project.
You need this for a headband:
- about 20 g of cotton (mixed) yarn
- matching knitting needles
- Needle for sewing
- Pins and soft pad for clamping
Knit headband
For a headband with needle size three or four you need about 20 stitches . Adjust the exact number to the selected pattern and include the edge stitches for the edge of the edge described above. Knit the first row on the left.
Make the headband in a variant of the net pattern. Lay the piece tightly taut around your head . As soon as it walks around completely (leaving a two to three centimeter gap), chain the project.

Now you have to stretch the headband so that the pattern comes into its own. First put it in warm water . Stretch it vigorously so that it does not wear out later. As soon as the headband fits, lay the damp knit piece flat on a soft surface, such as a piece of styrofoam, cork or a towel lying on a mattress. Fix the edges with pins . Allow the fabric to dry for two days before finishing the headband.
Sew the two short edges together from the back and sew the threads.

1. Knit a shopping bag . You will need two equal rectangles to knit in any kind of fishing net. Then sew two of the short sides together.
