What you need for your autumn table decoration with pumpkin as a candle holder:

Step 1: Grab an apple and the sharp knife.
Step 2: Carefully cut a sufficiently large hole in the top of the apple.

Attention: The hole must not be too big, otherwise you will blow up the entire apple (can no longer be used as a tealight holder). However, there must be space for a tealight - so sensitivity is important here. Don't despair if the first attempt fails. Practice creates masters.

Step 3: Put a tealight in it.
Step 4: light the warm light and enjoy the sight.

Important: Of course, an apple light holder doesn't have a very long shelf life. We recommend that you prepare the apple immediately before use and only let a tealight burn in it. Then you can generously cut away apple pieces with the remains of wax and either process the rest of the apple into baked apple or simply eat it straight.

Idea 3 | Frosted Apples & Name

What you need for your autumn table decoration made of apples with frost effect:

• red or red-yellow apples
• protein
• fine granulated sugar
• 2 small bowls
• Plate
• small pieces of paper
• pen
• Perforator
• scissors
• yarn

Tip: The apples should have a long stem so that the name tags can be attached to them easily.

Here's how to do it:

Step 1: Fill a bowl with protein.
Step 2: Dip an apple into the egg whites and roll it around a bit.
Step 3: Fill the second bowl with fine granulated sugar.

4th step: Roll the apple covered with protein in the sugar until it is decorated all around.

Step 5: Let the apple dry on a plate.

Step 6: Pick up a piece of paper and a pen.

Step 7: Label the piece of paper with the name of the person for whom the sign is intended.

Important: Leave an area on the left side of the piece of paper so that you can make a hole afterwards.

Step 8: Make a hole in the free area of ​​the piece of paper. A punch is practical.

Step 9: Cut a piece of yarn with the scissors.
Step 10: Pull the thread through the hole in the paper.
Step 11: Use the yarn to attach the piece of paper to the stem of the apple.
Step 12: Use this pattern to create as many name tags as you need.

Tip: Alternatively, as in our second idea, you can also cut off the "apple" and conjure up a frost apple light holder in no time.

Idea 4 | Walnut shells mini tea lights

What you need for your autumn table decoration with walnut shells mini tea lights:

• walnuts
• wax
• wick
• sharp knife
• cooking pot
• pan
• scissors

Here's how to do it:

Step 1: Pick up a walnut and the sharp knife.
Step 2: Carefully break open the nut at the "seam".

Note: This "seam" is in the middle of the walnut, it seems to split the nut in half.

Step 3: Detach the walnut from the shell and enjoy - or use it for delicious desserts.

Step 4: Fill a saucepan with a little water.
Step 5: Heat the water in the pot on the stove.
Step 6: Put some wax in the pan.

Step 7: Place or hold the pan directly over the pot. As a result, the wax melts.

Step 8: Gently pour the liquid wax into the empty half of the walnut shell (be careful and use a mat if possible to catch any splashes of wax).

Step 9: Put a wick in the middle of the wax in the walnut shell.

Step 10: If necessary, shorten the wick with scissors.
11th step: Let the wax harden in the bowl. Finished!

Tip: Make several tealights with walnut shells - the pretty decorative elements look particularly beautiful when they appear as a group on the table.

Idea 5 | Tealight on Kastanienberg

• short, wide glass
• chestnuts
• tealight
