Now is the time for a fresh summer lemonade. It should be refreshing, low in calories, as natural and fast as possible. For some, overcoming cucumbers and lemonade costs a bit, but it's worth it. Here is our refreshing cucumber lemonade: prepared in just five minutes.
Cucumbers are rich in vitamins and minerals. They contain vitamin C, iron, zinc and magnesium. Another advantage: with a water of over 95%, they are ideal for a calorie-conscious diet.
The cucumber lemonade is refined with fresh herbs such as mint or lemon balm. Gourmets are allowed to add a quarter lime and a little bit of kiwi to the recipe - but more about that in the recipe.
ingredients
- For about 5 medium sized longdrink glasses
- 1 organic cucumber
- 5-8 tbsp sugar (alternatively without sugar: Xucker powdered sugar from erythritol for cold drinks)
- 8-12 leaves of mint or lemon balm
- 1 liter of mineral water (medium or sparkling)
manual
We cut down about five thin slices of cucumber for each jar. The remaining cucumber is peeled and processed with a blender to a soup. This can also be done in the Thermomix.
Now the sugar is added and dissolved. Then the mass is passed through a fine sieve so that only the green juice remains.
The herb leaves are then added to a glass and lightly crushed with a pestle. The bitter freshness kick is created when one quarter of a lime per glass is crushed. Then fill the glass half full with cucumber juice, add some cucumber slices to the glass and pour over with mineral water.
Extended version : the lemonade gets an exotic touch with a little bit of kiwimus.
Enjoy the refreshing cucumber lemonade!

We decorated our lemonade with some lemon balm leaves and put them in different glasses. Depending on the taste, the soda can be in this way as a trendy soft drink, as a cocktail for in between or as a coffee alternative in the office.
