Step 1: Take the salt dough and form a tree. Take a look at our pictures. Shape trunk and leaf crown as two elements. These are later glued together after drying with hot glue.

Step 2: Use a straw to prick six holes in the leaf crown.

Step 3: After the tree you form six more apples from the salt dough. For this, need six small salt dough balls.

Step 4: Use the pair of scissors to cut six equally long pieces (about 3 cm) from the wire.

Step 5: Put the pieces of wire in the apples from salt dough. Every little apple gets a piece of wire.

Step 6: Put all items in the oven for about 45 minutes at 150 ° C.

Step 7: Allow tree and apples to cool.

Step 8: Now glue stem and treetop firmly together with hot glue.

Step 10: Let your work dry well.

Step 11: Write the numbers 1 to 6 on the apples with a black edding. So the first little apple gets the 1, the second the 2, the third the 3 and so on.

Step 12: Spray the apples with clear coat. Finished!

Rules of the apple game

Any number of people can participate in the apple game. The only requirement is that each player has an apple tree and six apples. Make as many sets as you need. Apart from the trees and apples, all you need is a conventional cube with eyes (1 to 6).

The first player rolls the dice and hangs the apple whose number corresponds to the number of points scored to his tree. Example: If he gets four eyes, he hangs the apple with the number 4 on his tree.

So it goes on in a row. Once every player's turn, the fun begins again. Sooner or later, each participant will have the moment, as he no longer has the apple corresponding to the rolled-up eyes. Example: One of the players scored four eyes, but already placed the number 4 apple. Then he has to attach one of his remaining apples to the tree of another player.

If a player no longer has apples, he must not dice anymore, but must wait. The winner is the participant whose apple tree is the first to hang six apples.

seashell prints

You need this:

  • salt dough
  • Shellfish
  • Spray paint in gold and silver

Step 1: Form uniform balls at the beginning.

Step 2: Then press the balls flat to make a thick slice. Then push the shell with the nice outside down into the dough.

Step 3: Let the dough dry - either by air (for at least 24 hours) or in the oven for 45 minutes at 150 ° C.

Step 4: Then the shell prints are painted or sprayed. We chose silver paint. So are the little impressions real eye-catcher for the bathroom.

Autumn: pumpkins

In autumn and Halloween pumpkins may not be missing. We will now show you how to make miniature models.

You need this:

  • salt dough
  • knife
  • Acrylic paints and brushes
  • clearcoat

Step 1: You need a big ball and several little ones for a pumpkin.

Step 2: Now roll the little balls into small sausages. Then take the big ball in your hand and attach the sausages to it. With a little water you can combine the dough elements well together.

Other variants:

The typical lines of the pumpkin can also be made with a knife. First, make a pumpkin. This can sometimes have an elongated shape like a pear. Then take a thin knife and pull with the back of the knife the distinctive lines through the dough.

Or you form a ball, which you then set with a long piece of wool. Always knot the thread in the top center and guide both ends of the thread in a line around the ball.

Step 3: Now let the salted dough dry as usual or put it in the oven for three quarters of an hour at 150 ° C.

Step 4: After the drying process and after the dough pieces have also cooled down nicely, the pumpkins are painted and then sealed with clear varnish.

Creepy haunted faces may not be missing on the Halloween pumpkins, of course.

Step 1: First print out our craft sample. Cut out the template and transfer the outlines to a piece of cardboard. This template will now also be cut out.

2nd step: Then you need the salt dough. Knead the dough well that it is also beautiful evenly. Shape a ball. Then roll them out with the rolling pin to a thin plate (5 mm thick).

Step 3: Then place the crafting template on the dough. Use the knife tip to avoid the outline of the template. If you want to make a smoker tree, simply cut off the dashed line at the top on template and dough. The tealight tree can stay with it.

Step 4: Now put the cut dough aside. Now glue the cardboard cone together with hot glue.

Step 5: When the glue has dried, cover the cardboard cone with the dough. Easily cut off protruding dough edges with a knife. The edges should not overlap if possible, otherwise the dough will be too thick at this point. With a little water at the fingertip you can pass the transition well.

Step 6: The incense tree without a tip can only be decorated. For example, you can use the tip of the knife to engrave small stars. Simply cut several small crosses into the dough.

The tealight tree gets small holes through which the light can shine. To do this, cut small circles out of the dough with a straw.

Step 7: Now let the salt dough dry well - at least for 24 hours. The cardboard cone is guaranteed not to collapse.

Step 8: If the dough is dry you can now paint, spray or decorate the tree as you wish. We chose white acrylic paint - perfect for white Christmas. The smoker tree may also like to be striped white-red like a candy cane.

Step 9: After the acrylic paint has dried well, the tree is sealed with clear lacquer - done!
