Great footwear for tiny feet - with wool and needles and a little knitting skill can be easily accomplished, which is difficult to buy. Baby shoes are most beautiful when knitted. And with love done!

This tutorial shows how to easily knit baby shoes yourself. In addition, the size charts help with the right stitching.

In the sample instruction was processed: Schoeller + steel, Baby Merino, 95 m / 25 g:

• 1 ball color 3946 gray (color 1)
• 1 ball of color 3918 red (color 2)

• Needle Game (Needle Size 3): Short knitting needles are particularly suitable for knitting as small as baby shoes. They only have a length of 15 cm.
  Crochet Hook Needle Thickness 4 - for the binding tape

Knitting instructions for baby shoes: size 18/19

attack

40 stitches are struck in color 1 (gray) and evenly distributed in 10 stitches on four needles.

Close the work for the round.

shaft

First, knit a round of left-hand stitches in color 1 (gray) and continue working in the following stripe sequence:

• 2 rounds to the right (color 1) gray
• 1 round on the right (color 2) red
• 1 round left (color 2) red

Repeat this stripe a total of 4 times.

The threads can be carried on the inside of the shaft. When changing colors, cross the threads so that no holes are formed.

Knit 3 more rows in gray. For the next round knit as follows: Work 2 stitches on the right, 1 turn (repeat on each needle 5 times). Please make sure that the last envelope does not slip off the needle, otherwise the mesh size will decrease. Through this hole pattern round, the binding tape is retracted later.

Knit 2 more rows in gray.

Peltatum

The foot leaf is knitted throughout in gray. The connection between the 1st and 4th needle (round end or beginning of the round) is located on the rear side of the shaft. From this point knit 25 right stitches. Now turn the work. It is knitted over 10 stitches back and forth. In the meantime shut down the remaining 30 stitches. (Change the stitches on the needles so that you can work with the 10 stitches for the foot sheet.)

Now continue working in the following knitting order (The outer stitches are each worked as a border stitch):

• 1 back row left stitches
• 1 row of right-hand stitches
• 1 back row right stitches
• * 1 row of right-hand stitches
• 1 back row left stitches
• 1 row of right-hand stitches
• 1 back row right stitches *
• Then knit the pattern area * ... * 3 more times.
• 1 row of right-hand stitches
• 1 back row left stitches

Knit right stitches in the next row. Slightly remove the 2nd and 3rd stitches (remove the second stitch on the right, knit the third stitch on the right and pull the second over the third stitch) and knit the 8th and 9th stitches on the right). There are 8 stitches left on the needle.

1 back row right stitches

1 row of right-hand stitches. Do not lift the last stitch as edge stitch but knit it off.

Now knit 13 stitches out of the edge stitches of the foot sheet in the direction of the shaft.

Knit off the decommissioned 30 stitches on the right and knit 13 stitches on the other side of the foot sheet. Knit right stitch over the rest of the round (along the toe and left foot) until the middle of the back is reached. There are now 64 meshes on the 4 needles.

Redistribute the stitches on the needles: 10 stitches each on the 1st + 3rd needle (toe and heel) and 22 stitches on the 2nd + 4th needle (long sides).

Continue knitting the following rounds from the back center for the sole walls:

• 1 round right stitch in gray
• 1 round right stitch in red
• 1 round left stitch in red
• 2 rounds of right stitches in gray
• 1 round right stitch in red
• 1 round left stitch in red
• 2 rounds of right stitches in gray
• 1 round right stitch in red
• 1 round left stitch in red

sole

Always knit the sole in smooth right with gray.

Round 1 from the beginning at the back center (5th stitch of needle 1, see photo - the first stitch is already grayed out):

Knit stitch 5 - 7 on the right, knit stitches 8 - 9 on the right, knit stitch 10 on the right.

Knit the 22 stitches on needle 2 (left side of foot) to the right.

Needle 3 (toe): knit stitch 1 on the right, knit stitches 2 - 3 on the right, knit stitches 4 - 7 on the right, knit stitches 8 - 9 on the right, knit stitch 10 on the right.

Knit the 22 stitches on needle 4 (right side of the foot) to the right.

Needle 1 remaining: Knitting stitch 1 on the right, knit stitches 2 - 3 on the right, knit stitching 4 on the right = end of the 1st sole course (there are now 8 - 22 - 8 - 22 = 60 stitches on the 4 needles).

Continue to knit in rounds and in each second round, take the reductions as described in round 1 (on needle 1 and 3 knit both the first two and the last two stitches on the right side) four times:

• Round 2: smooth right without declines.
• Round 3: smooth right with reductions (on needle 1 and 3 each 6 stitches remain).
• Round 4: smooth right without declines.
• Round 5: smooth right with reductions (on needle 1 and 3 remain 4 stitches each).
• Round 6: smooth right without declines.
• Round 7: smooth right with reductions (on needle 1 and 3 each 2 stitches remain).
• Round 8: smooth right without declines. ATTENTION: This round ends at the end of Needle 3.

Round 9: Knitt the two remaining stitches of needle 1 on the right, then knit the stitches of needle 2 on the right, knit the two remaining stitches of needle 3 on the right, finally knit the stitches of needle 4 on the right. Then put the remaining stitch of needle 1 on the needle 2 and put the remaining stitch of needle 3 on the needle 4.

There are 23 stitches on each needle. Bind off the stitches, cut the thread and pull through the last remaining stitch. If the work thread remains long enough, it can then be used immediately for sewing the sole seam.

sole seam

Sew the sole seam in the mattress stitch.

Mattress stitch: The two horizontally overlapping edges are placed on the right side. Then alternately capture 2 mesh members from the left and then 2 mesh members from the right.

tie

For the binding tape crochet with double thread (red color) a chain of 90 air stitches. Knot the thread ends well at the front and back.

Work a total of two binding bands and pull through the row of holes on the shaft.

The self-made baby shoes are finished - every little girl can be lucky to wear such cute and cuddly shoes. Even if you are a knit beginner, you should be patient with these baby shoes.

• Bind off the remaining stitches and sew the sole seam together in a stitch stitch
• Work 2 chains of mesh as binding bands and pull through the row of holes
