    3rd step: Now the apple is sliced. This should have a thickness of about 2 - 5 millimeters.

    Step 4: So that the apple rings do not turn brown, they must be bathed before drying in a broth of lemon juice, water and sugar. Boil 100 ml of water with 100 g of sugar and the juice of one lemon. Allow the broth to cool briefly and then place the apple slices in the pot.

    Step 5: Remove the apple slices after 2 minutes and spread them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. These should not touch or overlap. So it may be that you have to use two plates for the amount of apple rings.

    Step 6: The rings are then placed in the oven at max. 80 ° C (top and bottom heat). To allow the liquid to escape from the apple rings, the oven should be slightly open. Just put a wooden spoon in the door. The drying time varies according to your preference. But after about 2 to 3 hours, the apple slices should be ready.

    Note: Always check the consistency of the slices to make sure they are not dried out.
